The King’s Dinner

At least it appeared like a king’s dinner to me. My mom and I went to Delicious this evening and this was what I ordered—a Sirloin Steak sandwich with greens, French fries, and béarnaise sauce. It was very good indeed. I brought my Canon EOS 550D along, so I took a few pictures before I tucked in. I used my wonderful Canon 18-135mm IS zoom lens as usual, with my Canon 430EX II supplying the bounce flash.

And here’s what I had for dessert. I hadn’t tried this before during my previous Delicious outings. Banoffee pie consists of sliced banana and toffee fillings (hence the name) surrounded with pastry and about an inch of light fluffy chocolate whipped cream on top. It’s not as filling as the chocolate brownie or the classic chocolate cake. I, for one am glad. I felt full but not bloated. So there. The flash was bounced to give the pie a nice, soft lighting.
