Straits Quay at Night

It was a warm and balmy night. I decided to head over to one of my favorite haunts, the Straits Quay mall, to partake of some nice cooling dessert. I brought my Canon EOS550D and my tripod along (if there’s anything I dislike most about taking pictures, it’s lugging this three-legged beast with me) However, you might as well not take any nighttime shots if you don’t want to mount your DSLR on a tripod. Long exposures incur the dreaded camera shake (the result is blurry pictures which would make you erase them straightaway) So may I present to you some shots of the Straits Quay Mall at night. All pictures are unretouched.

A last-minute self-portrait, taken with the Canon 430EX II Speedlite attached. I didn’t want to do it, seeing as I only had a grubby T-shirt on. But what the heck, it’s my blog, isn’t it?
