Pizza, Ti amo, amore mio

I can still recall my first encounter with pizza. This was way back in my freshman days at the University of Arizona, circa 1981. It was Domino’s Pizza, to be exact. One bite and I was hooked—for life. Each and every week, when hunger pangs started rumbling after too much late-night studying, I would pester my roommate, or any other dorm mates, to share a pizza with me. Heck, sometimes I purchased a whole pizza for myself! Uh, you have to remember…I was just 21 then and had a voracious appetite. And I’ll never forget the funny looks my American friends gave me whenever they spotted me chowing down on pizza, practically at least twice or even three times a week. Needless to say, it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship between Domino’s and myself. Fortunately, I’ve never ever grown fat, must be due to my high metabolic rate, what a lucky guy I am.

Anyways, fast forward to the present and here I am, in sunny Malaysia—having Domino’s pizza with my male offspring (who has taken after my exquisite taste for this Italian miracle). Oh, it makes me nostalgic. I don’t order pizza every week now, but when we do have it once in a while, it’s still a treat. And get this—ordering online is a snap, plus Domino’s gives good promotions and discounts.

The only snag is this—a large pizza here is 12” (I believe it’s 16” in the States). But I don’t mind, since my stomach has shrunk with age Wink

The new Big Blue Ball is launched!

If you’ve read my About Me page you would already know that I’ve been a member and staff of BigBlueBall since June 2006. Although this forum caters to IM (Instant Messaging) and social networking first and foremost, there are a lot of other sections within, such as Cell Phones, PDA and Mobiles, and also Computer Support. There’s also a Community Center with the BigBlueBall Lounge as a place where you can get to know new members, post your own poll, read the funnies, a Music room, etc. All in all, there’s a lot to see and do. Needless to say, becoming a member is totally free (and painless).

Have a look at the new BigBlueBall here.
